We are affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention and adhere to the Baptist Faith and Message, a detailed copy of which is found at http://www.sbc.net/bfm2000/. For those curious and who want a quick summary, we believe in: God who has revealed Himself to humanity as being one God existing in three distinct persons or entitles known to us as the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Hence, we believe in the deity of Jesus, the Son, and the deity and personhood of the Holy Spirit. The Father reigns over His creation and the flow of the stream of history according to the purposes of His grace. He is all powerful, all knowing, all loving, and all wise. Jesus the Christ who, though God, became man who was born of the Virgin Mary, was crucified and killed, and who rose from the dead. He has ascended into heaven and will return again in glory in the future. By His death and resurrection, He provided salvation to humanity. The Holy Spirit inspired the writers of the Scriptures. Through illumination He enables people to understand truth and, as people receive the salvation provided by God the Father through Jesus Christ, He baptizes every believer into the Body of Christ. The Scriptures, which are the 66 books of the Protestant Bible. They are, as stated above, divinely inspired as so they have for their author, salvation for their end, and truth, without any mixture of error, for their content. Humanity, as persons made in the image of God but who have marred that image by sin. Sin is a universal condition for humans and sin alienates us from God. Salvation, provided by God through the work of Jesus the Christ. The alienation between God and man can only be remedied by receiving the gift of salvation, offered freely by God. One receives this gift simply by asking God for it and seeking to follow Jesus as Lord.
